How To Sponsor A Rider

Therapeutic riding provides life-changing therapy and skills for kids and adults with a variety of special needs. The financial toll that these families take on can be devastating, making unconventional therapy programs such as equine therapy out of reach for many of them.

Many of our riders' families can afford the cost of therapeutic riding. A few of them cannot. Since its beginning in 2002, PFTC has never turned away an applicant because of their inability to pay for services. However, one of our biggest ongoing challenges is to maintain funds sufficient to meet the ever-increasing need by PFTC rider families. That’s where the Sponsor a Rider Program and you come in!

Please consider a tax-deductible gift to our Sponsor A Rider Program:

• Single Session $75 - Your gift will provide a rider with a single 30 minute therapeutic riding session.
• Monthly $225 - Your gift will provide a rider with weekly therapeutic riding sessions for one (1) month.
• Quarterly $675 - Your gift will provide a rider with weekly therapeutic riding sessions for three (3) months.
• Yearly $2,700 - Your gift will provide a rider with weekly therapeutic riding sessions for one (1) year.

Program Needs

The Sponsor A Rider Program is an ongoing effort to raise funds for riders in need of financial assistance. We’ve never turned a rider away for financial reasons because consistency is key to the growth of our students, and the benefits are truly invaluable.

If you love the idea and can't decide where to donate, our Sponsor A Rider Program is the perfect choice. These funds go towards supporting individuals who need financial assistance for any reason. We never turn anyone away—that’s our philosophy! The Sponsor A Rider Program is an ongoing initiative, and as long as there are willing riders, we’re committed to finding ways to help them. This program makes it possible for students facing financial challenges to participate.

Our instructors, volunteers, parents, families and, of course, our riders all benefit! Riders gain the confidence they need to grow, and experience a glimpse of the independence that many often take for granted. Simple achievements like clearer speech, improved personal skills, or knowing their name and address in case of an emergency can make a huge difference.
